Arby's Venison Sandwich
Two of the chain's restaurants will offer the popular venison sandwiches in the Cornhusker State.

ATLANTA – It was open season for game eaters this past fall, when 17 Arby’s restaurants offered its thick-cut venison sandwich in select states where deer hunting is popular. The company reports that due to the fact that the specialty item sold out “in a matter of minutes” and triggered a public and social media outcry among venison fanatics demanding more of the product, it is bringing the sandwich back to two locations in Nebraska. One of the locations, in Lincoln, Nebraska, will offer the coveted sandwich Jan. 18 and an Arby’s in Omaha will serve them on Jan. 19.

According to a company representative, “Arby’s was able to secure enough venison to offer the product to the one state that made the most noise: Nebraska.”

The sandwich features a thick-cut venison steak topped with fried onions and juniper berry sauce served on a toasted roll. The venison is marinated in garlic, salt and pepper and cooked for three hours.

The address of the Nebraska restaurants offering the buck sandwiches, which will likely sell out, are:
