MISSISSAUGA, Ontario – Maple Leaf Foods announced the resignation of Gregory Boland from the company’s board of directors, a position he held since 2011. Boland also served on Maple Leaf’s Audit and Human Resources and Compensation committees.

“Following Maple Leaf’s successful strategic transformation, the company is well positioned to deliver sustainable, profitable growth,” Boland said in a statement. “I have enjoyed working with the board, management and people across the company and wish them continued success.”

David Emerson, chairman of the board, noted Boland’s contributions to Maple Leaf Foods’ success. “On behalf of the entire board, I want to thank him for his engagement and commitment to making Maple Leaf the profitable company it is today.”
