AMFE’s Bone Cannon separation equipment is an important addition to Provisur’s equipment portfolio.

CHICAGO – Provisur Technologies, Inc. announces the simultaneous acquisition of certain assets of AMFE  B.V. in the Netherlands and Centennial, Colorado-based BFD Corp.

AMFE is a producer of press-type separation equipment used primarily in the beef and pork markets. Its separation system, known as the Bone Cannon, recovers high quality meat remaining on beef and pork bones after secondary processing. BFD Corp. provides all sales, application expertise, installation and aftermarket support for AMFE equipment in North America.

“These acquisitions expand Provisur’s lineup of separation equipment which includes Beehive and AM2C rotary separators,” said Olivier Kerdiles, Provisur’s vice president. “The Bone Cannon is an important addition to our separation portfolio as it extends our capabilities beyond poultry and fish to beef and pork applications.”

Provisur will combine the activities of BFD and AMFE into its existing Separation Business Unit led by Kerdiles. John Shook, founder and former owner of BFD, will remain directly involved not only in the North American market, but in expanding distribution of the Bone Cannon in markets around the globe, according to a company release.

“These important acquisitions are consistent with Provisur’s long range strategic plan and will help fuel our company's continued global growth,” said Mel Cohen, Provisur’s CEO.
