OAKVILLE, Ontario – Last year, the Works Gourmet Burger Bistro gained notoriety across the globe as the creator of the Reese’s PBC burger, a peanut butter cup stuffed burger. The burger chain is now introducing a new LTO jalapeño popper-inspired burger – the Big Popper. The Big Popper features an 8-oz. patty, stuffed with jalapeños, then battered fried with a crispy corn batter and topped with peppers, green onions, cream cheese, smoked bacon, sour cream and crispy onions.

“We were excited about the international media frenzy the Reese’s PBC caused last year," said Bruce Miller, co-owner of The Works Gourmet Burger Bistro. “And we’re even more excited about how we’ve taken our stuffed burgers to the next level with the double stuffed Big Popper where the jalapenos are stuffed inside a beef patty that’s stuffed inside crispy corn batter and topped.”

Open since 2001, the restaurant, with 27 locations in Ontario, features 50 gourmet burgers, fresh-cut fries and milkshakes. In addition to the new Big Popper and popular Reese’s PBC, the Works offers the Burgeroni pizza burger which is stuffed with cheese and topped with pizza sauce, onion strings and pepperoni, and the Loaded Lucy, which is stuffed with melted cheese and topped with bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickles, red onions and mayo. Most stuffed burgers cost around $16.

The burgers are available in all restaurants from Oct. 19 through Dec. 31.
