GREELEY, Colo. – Officials from Pilgrim’s Pride Corp., a business unit of Sao Paulo-based JBS SA, announced the appointment of Mark Chranowski to lead the newly created position of general manager of its commercial business unit, including oversight of Pilgrim’s eight commercial operations. A 37-year veteran  of the poultry industry, Chranowski will report to Jayson Penn, executive vice president of sales and operations and will oversee the company’s largest business unit, which includes  processing operations in Mt. Pleasant and Nacogdoches, Texas; Broadway, Virginia; Russellville, Alabama; Douglas, Georgia; Sumter, South Carolina; and Marshville and Sanford, North Carolina. 

With a background in various management roles with companies ranging from Tyson Foods to Cargill Poultry, Rocco Farm Foods and most recently, Mountaire Farms, Chranowski will be responsible for enhancing operational efficiencies and servicing Pilgrim’s retail and foodservice customers domestically and globally.
