Slater's 50/50 introduced its latest hot dog delicacy, the 50/50 Furter, in time for International Bacon Day.

As part of its celebration of International Bacon Day, on Sept. 3, Slater’s 50/50 in Pasadena, California, unveiled its newest bacon delicacy – the 50/50 Furter. The restaurant known for adding bacon to anything and everything they serve, including milkshakes, created a hot dog that has bacon on it, and in it.

The new menu item is an all-beef hot dog that is stuffed with chopped bacon, and then wrapped with bacon and cooked on the griddle. The $9 hot dog is served plain, but it can be dressed up with any typical hot dog accompaniments.

In addition to the typical onions, relish and mustard toppers, Slater’s 50/50 also offers its customers a variety of creative toppings including the Classic (chipotle adobe mayo, avocado, pepper jack cheese and a sunny-side up egg); The Abe Froman (green relish, yellow mustard, pickles, tomato, peppers and celery salt on a poppyseed bun); the Chili Cheese Ripper (topped with Guinness bacon chili, beer cheese sauce and chopped onions); and the BBQ Bacon Bomb (with coleslaw, dill pickles, onion rings and barbecue sauce).

The hot dog will also be available at the restaurant’s Orange County and San Diego locations.
