MINONG, Wis. – Jack Link’s iconic spokescreature, Sasquatch, is letting it all hang out in ESPN The Magazine’s 2016 body issue. With nothing more than a forest raccoon, and his flowing hair to cover himself, the 8’ 1”, 374 lb., hairy beast shows readers his idea of the perfect, athletic build.

The 2016 body issue celebrates bodies of all shapes and sizes, and it needs a 2-page spread to fit Sasquatch’s in. A shy creature, Sasquatch was comfortable during the shoot and seemed to enjoy the hair and makeup process of professional photography, often admiring himself in front of the mirror. However, his less than refined social skills did present the occasional challenge while photographers and crew worked to get the best content they could.

A companion ad featuring Jack Link’s jerky accompanies the spread.

“Sasquatch was born with a physique reminiscent of a Greek sculpture – a very furry Greek sculpture,” said Tom Dixon, chief marketing officer at Jack Link’s. “It’s not always easy to get a good look at Sasquatch, so we’re excited to give the world an opportunity to admire him in all his natural glory.”

Sasquatch also attended this year’s Body at ESPYS event in the signature outfit of his own hairy skin (the only outfit he owns).

Jack Link’s hosted a jerky and beer pairing bar, giving guests a chance to explore their wild side throughout the night.
