David Marberger has been named executive vice-president and CFO of ConAgra Foods. 
 

CHICAGO — David Marberger has been appointed executive vice president and chief financial officer of ConAgra Foods, Inc., effective Aug. 29. Marberger will succeed John Gehring, who plans to retire in September.

Currently, Marberger is the CFO of Prestige Brands, a provider of over-the-counter health care products with a portfolio of more than 80 brands. Before joining Prestige, he was the CFO of Godiva Chocolatier and Tasty Baking Co., and before that he spent 10 years at Campbell Soup Co. in various finance roles.

“Dave is a proven leader with relevant industry expertise and significant experience developing and guiding finance organizations,” said Sean Connolly, president and chief executive officer of ConAgra Foods. “Dave’s breadth of experience and demonstrated track record of delivering improved business performance will be tremendous assets to ConAgra Foods.
