Whataburger has returned its Sweet & Spicy Bacon Burger to its menus for the summer.
The San Antonio, Texas-based chain launched the sweet, spicy and savory offering in the summer of 2015. Since then, the company’s Facebook and Twitter pages have been a sounding board for fans of the limited-time offering. Some of the comments include:

Whataburger credits the balance of sweet and spicy flavors for the burger’s popularity. The Sweet & Spicy is topped with bacon, grilled onions, Monterey Jack and American cheeses, Whataburger’s original mustard and the company’s Sweet & Spicy Pepper Sauce.
“This combination of ingredients makes a really unique and great tasting burger, and we’re pleased to serve it up again to our fans who’ve been asking us to bring it back,” said Rich Scheffler, vice president of marketing and innovation.
