MCLEAN, Va. – In an effort to attract more international tradeshow attendees and buyers, PROCESS EXPO 2017 has been selected to participate in the US Dept. of Commerce’s International Buyer Program Select, the Food Processing Suppliers Association (FPSA) announced. The program is a joint government-industry effort designed to increase US export sales by promoting international attendance and recruiting pre-screened international buyers to US trade shows.

"We are extremely excited to have been chosen for next year’s IBP Select,” said David Seckman, president and CEO of the FPSA. “Only eight shows a year are chosen for this prestigious program and the fact that PROCESS EXPO was one of these clearly indicates that the Dept. of Commerce sees strong export potential for our exhibitors and our event. We look forward to working with the Dept. of Commerce staff both here and abroad to deliver new delegations of highly qualified international food processors to the PROCESS EXPO show floor.”

“Participating in the International Buyer Program Select is just the latest development in a series of actions we have undertaken to continue boosting our international customer audience for PROCESS EXPO 2017,” said Tom Kittle, chairman of the FPSA and president of Handtmann Inc and Handtmann Canada Limited. “Coupled with our recent strategic marketing agreement with Messe Frankfurt/IFFA and our continued collaboration with Messe Dusseldorf and Messe Nurnberg, PROCESS EXPO is now being promoted throughout the world as THE food and beverage processing and packaging technology trade show of the Americas.”

PROCESS EXPO 2017 will take place from September 19-22, 2017, at Chicago’s McCormick Place. For more information about the show, visit www.myprocessexpo.com.
