Bacon is expected to be a blockbuster at QSRs this summer.

Some of America’s favorite restaurants are throwing bacon into their summer lineupss.

For a limited time, Wendy’s is offering its Bacon Mozzarella Burger, pairing thick-cut Applewood smoked bacon, mozzarella cheese, and garlic parmesan cheese spread. The LTO comes as a single burger and is topped with sliced red onions and a spring mix.

“The Bacon Mozzarella is a cheeseburger lover's dream,” said Kurt Kane, Wendy's chief concept, and marketing officer. “From the first bite, this combination of fresh beef and oven-cooked bacon paired with melty mozzarella and a garlic parmesan cheese spread creates a deliciously unforgettable burger."

Participating Wendy’s restaurants are pricing the LTO at $4.69.

Also, Sonic Drive-In is launching a new line of 6-inch coneys called Bacon Lover’s Chili Cheese Coneys. Made with 100 percent beef hot dogs, bacon, chili and melted cheese, the coneys are available in three varieties: Bacon Chili Cheese, Loaded Bacon Ranch Chili Cheese and Spicy Bacon Chili Cheese.
