Shake Shack is starting off summer by breaking out a new burger as a limited-time offer (LTO).

“For the first half of this year, the Chick’n Shack has been acting as our current LTO,” Shake Shack CEO Randy Garutti said during a May 12 conference call with analysts. “However, today our culinary team is excited to announce that we will be launching the Bacon CheddarShack as a new burger LTO for the second half of the year.”

The Bacon CheddarShack burger will be available starting June 3. The burger features an Angus beef patty with smoked bacon and a blend of American and white cheddar cheeses. The limited-time offering will be the first burger LTO for Shake Shack in the second quarter.

“We wanted to bring a sharp, punchy note to the sauce while also keeping that creamy richness,” Mark Rosati, Shake Shack's culinary director, toldFood and Wine. “Cheddar has that sharpness and richness, and the 3-year aged Wisconsin has a lot of power, but the American cheese gives it that creaminess.”

The burger will be available in most Shake Shack restaurants for $6.89.
