MIAMI- A special event was hosted by Carnival Cruise Line and the Canaveral Port Authority to celebrate the arrival of the new cruise ship, the Carnival Magic. The event also marked the grand opening of Guy Fieri’s Guy’s Pig and Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse on the cruise ship.

The ribbon-cutting was an invitation-only event and featured a six-foot long pulled pork sandwich carved by Port Canaveral officials and Carnival representatives to promote Fieri’s barbecue concept.

Along with Guy’s Pig and Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse, the ship also features new cocktail pharmacy-themed Alchemy Bar, the RedFrog Rum Bar, BlueIguana Tequila Bar, BlueIguana Cantina Mexican eatery and Guy's Burger Joint, also designed by Fieri.

Carnival Magic will depart April 21 for a three-day cruise to the Bahamas. The ship will offer two Caribbean itineraries year-round out of Port Canaveral. One will be a western route that features Cozumel, Belize, Mahogany Bay (Isla Roatan) and Costa Maya and the other an eastern route calling at St. Thomas, San Juan, Grand Turk and Nassau or Amber Cove.
