SPRINGDALE, Ark. – Otto Jech, executive vice president at poultry processor George’s Inc., died at age 86. Jech was appointed vice president in 1980, and held the post until his death. Executives at the company remembered Jech as a man of integrity with an incredible depth of knowledge about the George’s.

Jech started with George’s in 1951 caring for a chicken farm for company founder, C.L. George. Jech delivered chicks, worked as broiler serviceman and oversaw the cattle operation in the early years of his career with the company. Before joining George’s, he worked with his brothers in their father’s coop building business.

“Otto’s knowledge and his valuable insight throughout the years were vital to the growth of our company,” Gary George, chairman, said in a statement. “He was involved in all aspects of our operations, and his talent and guidance will be greatly missed.”
