DENVER – In an announcement made March 22, Kendal Frazier was named CEO of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA). Frazier served as interim CEO after Forrest Roberts announced his retirement this past July, after serving six years in the position.

Tracy Brunner, NCBA president said identifying the ideal successor for Roberts was a process undertaken with careful consideration.

“NCBA owed it to our members, our stakeholders and the beef community to take our time as we selected the right individual to serve as the next chief executive officer,” Brunner said. “We can say with confidence that Kendal Frazier is the right leader for the association. With many years of experience working for state and national beef organizations, he has helped to guide our industry through some of its greatest challenges.”

Frazier said he looks forward to assuming the leadership role on a permanent basis and his priorities are clear. He said he is committed to working with stakeholders to defend private property rights domestically while endeavoring to grow current and potential trading partners globally and foster confidence in the safety and nutritional value of beef.

“By focusing on these key areas, we ensure there is a prosperous future for the next generation of cattlemen and women,” said Frazier, who joined the NCBA in 1985 and has held numerous leadership roles through the years.

“As CEO, I will continue to focus on working to ensure we are implementing NCBA’s contributions to the Industry Long Range Plan," said Frazier. "We will also ensure that we are delivering on NCBA’s member-directed policy priorities and executing NCBA’s Strategic Plan. These documents are the roadmap for NCBA and by delivering on their promises we will ensure success for NCBA, our members and our industry.”
