Aric Almirola, driving the Richard Petty Motorsports car No. 43, was caught up in a four-car crash during NASCAR's Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500.
Aric Almirola took to Twitter following a fiery crash: “Not the way we wanted to bring it home. But we will take a top 15 and Top 10 in points too. Gotta keep grinding!”

His car caught fire and became engulfed in flames as he drove into the home stretch. Almirola escaped the blaze with the help of NASCAR officials; Jimmy Johnson ultimately came away with the win.

Smithfield Foods and its brands sponsor the No. 43 Richard Petty Motorsports race team in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. The words "Fueled by bacon" are emblazoned on the back of the car.
