Ovation Brands filed for bankruptcy once again on March 7.

GREER, SC – The operator of several foodservice chains, including Ryan’s, Fire Mountain, Old Country Buffet, Tahoe Joes and HomeTown Buffet, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection March 7, according to news reports.  The operating company, Ovation Brands Inc., was acquired by Food Management Partners in 2015 and this bankruptcy is reportedly the third filing for Ovation since 2008.

This past month, Ovation officials announced the closure of 74 underperforming eateries. Based on information posted on its website, Ovation Brands operates 328 restaurants with locations in 35 states.
