If limited-time offers really are product tests in disguise, then Hunt Brothers’ Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza passed with flying colors.
Nashville-based Hunt Brothers Pizza, a leading manufacturer of made-to-order pizza in the convenience store industry, returned the popular pie to its lineup of specialty pizzas offered at convenience stores. The company attributed its decision to consumer response and quick sell-out of the pizzas following an April 2015 launch.
The pizza features a creamy ranch sauce, white breast chicken meat, a blend of mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, Hunt Brothers’ Just Rite Spice and bacon. The flavor combination became an instant favorite.
“Based on the success of last year's introduction, we know that Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza is in high demand with our store partners and with our fans,” Keith Solsvig, vice president of marketing for Hunt Brothers Pizza, said in a statement. “By offering a unique, specialty pizza for a limited time, we can attract new fans and reenergize existing fans, which can help our store partners see a spike in sales.”
At the launch of the Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza, Hunt Brothers said the Buffalo Chicken Pizza “has been a perennial fan favorite” since its introduction in 2009. But the Chicken Bacon Ranch soon became the most anticipated limited-time offer pizza.
Participating convenience stores will offer the pizza in two sizes while supplies last: Large 12-in. whole pizza or Hunk A Pizza, which is one-quarter of a 12-in. pizza.
