WASHINGTON – Ajinomoto Windsor recalled about 6,000 lbs. of pork products that were misbranded according to the US Dept. of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) on Feb. 23.
The problem was discovered by the purchaser of the product. The 4-lb. plastic bag packages of “Shirakiku Gyoza Dumplings with Beef” were marked with an establishment number “EST. 18356” inside the USDA mark of inspection. The package also had a used by date of June 6, 2017.
The item was shipped to retail locations across the nation. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of the products.
