It’s not only working, it’s working very well. That’s why the Beer & Bacon Bash in Harrisburg, Pa., is not only in its third year, but is offering two sessions this year to meet growing demand.
The event is set for Jan. 9 from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. at the Federal Taphouse in Harrisburg. Brews from eight craft breweries will be featured with bacon dishes created by Taphouse executive chef David Clarke, including rosemary smoked lamb bacon with pecorino croquettes to a chocolate and bacon ice cream dibs rolled with crystalized bacon or hop-dusted chicharrones.
“Everyone loves bacon and there’s not a better complement to bacon than beer,” Judd Goodman, owner of the Taphouse, told pennlive.com.
Proceeds benefit the local food bank.
