CORALVILLE, Iowa – Cargill Animal Nutrition, a unit of Cargill, said it will close its offices in Coralville, Iowa, by early 2016. The Coralville facility is a branch of the company’s customer service and sales operations. The office will remain open until Jan. 31, 2016.

Fifteen of 28 employees working at the facility will be affected by the closure, the company said. Those 15 positions will be moved to Cargill's offices in Kansas City, Kan., as the unit works to streamline customer service and sales operations and move those operations to the Midwest.

“Any time employees are affected, it’s an especially difficult decision. This change will impact 15 positions and we will do our best to support affected employees during this process to minimize the impact on them,” Mark Lueking, managing director for Cargill’s complete animal feed business in the US, said in a statement. “Where possible, we will identify employment opportunities for affected employees at other Cargill locations.”
