DES MOINES, IOWA — Employees at the New York Stock Exchange can now order, for a limited time, a wide range of pork menu items, including Pork in Sweet Chili Sauce, Ribs with Plum Sauce, Orange Teriyaki Pork Chops, Country Ribs with Bourbon Glaze, and Thai Coconut Stir-Fried Pork and Pomegranate Mojito Sliders, according to the National Pork Board.

A number of on-site dining outlets are located at the N.Y.S.E., including cafeterias and executive dining rooms. All N.Y.S.E. foodservice operations will offer pork entrées, sandwiches and appetizers that have been prepared using Minor Sauces and Bases in their preparations for a limited time. Minor’s, which is a division of Nestle, has entered into a co-promotion with the N.Y.S.E. to enhance current pork offerings and also to develop new pork offerings to entice the 3,500 employees, traders, brokers and staff to dine within the many food operations of the N.Y.S.E.

"The N.Y.S.E. wants to offer its employees more innovative, exciting dishes and they are featuring a number of new pork dishes for a limited time," said Howard Greenblatt, national foodservice marketing manager for the Pork Checkoff. "After determining which of these items really take off, they may become part of the regular menu."

The promotions incorporate creative uses of pork shoulder, hocks, hams, pork butt, ribs and more.

"From sliders to Asian barbecue to Cajun, the N.Y.S.E. foodservice system will feature different specials each day from late August to late September," Mr. Greenblatt said. "New posters, menu boards, e-mails, daily postings of the specials, recipe handouts and giveaways in each dining facility should all lend to another successful promotion and new permanent menu offerings at this high-profile account."
