CARPINTERIA, Calif. – CKE Restaurants announced the company’s all-natural burgers will be available at both Hardee’s and Carl’s Jr. locations.

The burger features grass-fed, free-range beef free from added hormones, antibiotics and steroids. CKE, which owns Hardee’s and Carl’s Jr., launched its first all-natural burger in 2014, but the offering was available only at Carl’s Jr. Now, diners at Hardee’s can order the burger and may substitute the all-natural patty on any burger on the menu for an additional charge. In addition to the nationwide rollout, a new version of the burger is on the menu — Mushroom & Swiss.

“Carl’s Jr. had great success with the industry-first, All-Natural Burger that launched late last year,” said Brad Haley, CMO of Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s. “It seemed to bring in or, perhaps more accurately, bring back, consumers who had given up fast food because they simply couldn’t get food like this there so obviously, we wanted to introduce the All-Natural Burger at our sister-chain, Hardee’s, as soon as we could.

“However, there simply wasn’t enough grass-fed, all-natural beef available to supply both of our restaurant chains until now.”

CKE will support the new menu offering with a new ad campaign titled “Natural Beauties.” The television spot will air on July 27. Model and actress Charlotte McKinney will return as a celebrity spokesperson.
