KANSAS CITY, Mo. –Terry French is a world-renowned chef known for his unusual dishes and extreme, unconventional techniques to prepare them — hence, his nickname the “Rebel Chef.”
In 2012, French’s exotic dishes won him the title of World Extreme Chef on the Food Network. Recently, he was among celebrity chefs highlighted at the 2015 National Restaurant Association’s World Culinary Showcase. This summer he will also be featured at the 2015 World Food Championships which highlights his specialty — extreme cuisines from around the world.
Lawrence Aylward, editor of MEAT+POULTRY, caught up with French recently to discuss grilling trends. Of course, French discussed alternative meats on the grill in addition to flavor trends.
