Hardee's, Carl's Jr. Most American Thickburger
Carl's Jr. and Hardee's restaurants set to serve "Most American Thickburger".

CARPINTERIA, Calif. – CKE Restaurants Holdings, Inc. believes it has created “a delicious symbol of freedom”.

Starting May 20, Carl’s Jr. and Hardee's restaurants will feature the Most American Thickburger, a tasty mash-up up three popular American picnic foods: a split hot dog and Lays Kettle Cooked Potato Chips atop a charbroiled Black Angus hamburger patty, a slice of American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup and mustard.

“We’ve introduced several popular ‘meat on meat’ burgers over the years that combine the tastes of great American sandwiches with the taste of a great American burger but the combination of a split hot dog, potato chips and a charbroiled 100 percent Black Angus beef patty is, unquestionably, our most American creation yet,” Brad Haley, CMO of Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s. “If you think about it, hot dogs are cured, just like bacon, and they add a similar taste to the burger, while the Lays Kettle Cooked Potato Chips add a salty crunch that goes really well with the fresh produce and the tangy pickles.”

A commercial titled “The Most American Thing Ever” accompanies the launch of the new burger. The ad features Samantha Hoopes, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, and Douglas Duncan, professional bull rider.
