SPAMERICAN tour truck
The SPAMERICAN tour truck will travel across the United States featuring chefs and their signature SPAM creations along the way.

AUSTIN, Minn. – Hormel Foods Corp. is taking SPAM across America, and Food Network Chef Sunny Anderson will be along for the ride.

The 12-date coast-to-coast SPAMERICAN Tour kicks off April 15 in Los Angeles where Anderson will unveil a special menu. A food truck will travel to special events across the United States. At each stop, consumers can sample a signature recipe developed by Anderson along with creations from local chefs.

"We discovered love for the brand popping up all over the US, from diners in the Midwest serving SPAM and eggs, to trendy Manhattan hot spots featuring SPAM Musubi." said Nicole L. Behne, marketing director, Grocery Products Division. "With the SPAMERICAN Tour, we have set out to share these delicious SPAM recipes with America and celebrate the chefs who serve them."

Unique SPAM-centric dishes by local chefs include Kimchi SPAM Musubi Croissant by Chef Sharon Wang in LA, a SPAMmy Tot by Chef Robert Lam of San Francisco, and a SPAM & Jack Pretzel Sandwich by Chicago Chef Kevin Hickey. Anderson created a Coconut SPAM Spears with Spicy Pineapple Chutney recipe that will be a mainstay on the menu throughout the tour.

The food truck tour includes stops at the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, Denver's Cinco De Mayo Festival and the Atlanta Jazz Festival.
