WASHINGTON – Skyline Provisions, Inc. announced a recall of 1,029 lbs. of beef products after routine testing revealedE. coliO157:H7 contamination, the Food Safety and Inspection Service of the US Department of Agriculture reported. No illnesses have been reported, but FSIS and Skyline are concerned that some product may have been sold and stored in consumers' freezers.


Products subject to the recall include 17 ½- lb. boxes of Aurora Packers Intact Beef Round Flats. Harvey, Ill.-based Skyline sold the product under the company's D&S label.

On April 15, FSIS said, the company ground and tested one and a half cases of the product. The products tested positive forE. coli O157:H7 on April 21. The remaining intact products were sold to Jack & Pat's Old Fashioned Market in Chicago Ridge, Ill., where the product was ground and sold in various amounts of ground chuck patties, ground chuck, ground round, sirloin patties and porter house patties.
