SHERMAN, Texas – Tyson Foods, Inc. altered the work schedule at its Sherman, Texas, plant in preparation for a winter storm that is expected to bring strong winds, freezing rain and drive temperatures below freezing.

Gary Mickelson, a Tyson Foods spokesman in Springdale, Ark., said, “sleet and icy road conditions have disrupted operations at our Sherman case-ready meats plant. We’re currently running limited production and have canceled today’s second shift.”

There also will be a minimum two-hour late start for all A-shift departments on Feb. 24.
