CARLSTADT, NJ – Bill Schmitt is the new director of foodservice for Schweid & Sons, a New Jersey-based ground-beef purveyor. Schmitt will lead brand development among restaurants and foodservice distributors. He also will work with senior management and marketing to expand the company's food programs beyond ground beef.

Prior to joining Schweid & Sons, Schmitt was part of the corporate accounts team at AdvancePierre Foods. He joined AdvancePierre through the acquisition of Barber Foods where he served as regional manager in New England and vice president of foodservice sales.
