LOS ANGELES – TasteCrafted Burgers and Chicken are coming to Tinseltown — and other locations in Southern California — to stay. TasteCrafted is a spin-off of McDonald’s Corp.’s Create Your Taste customization platform.

Under TasteCrafte, diners will be able to customize their burger or chicken sandwich with their choice of bun and topping combinations which include bacon clubhouse, pico guacamole, hot jalapeno and deluxe. McDonald’s Corp. launched the customization program in April.

“Consumers have told us that they are looking for variety and the ability to customize their choices,” Clay Paschen III, president, McDonald’s Operators’ Association of Southern California (MOASC), said in a news release. “Taste Crafted Burgers and Chicken allows us to cater to our customers’ desires. We’re excited to bring these delicious ingredients, delectable flavors and variety to our Southern California customers.”

McDonald’s tested the setup at a limited number of restaurants near Atlanta, Portland, Ore., and in Southern California. At the time of the launch, the company noted the TasteCrafted initiative offers “a more immediate opportunity for a broader base of restaurants to provide customers with the variety and choices they enjoy today.”
