SAN FRANCISCO – Charrua Imports announced the company is offering grass-fed beef and lamb produced in Uruguay to the foodservice segment. The meat is certified by the US Dept. of Agriculture, and foodservice operators have the option to purchase the meat chilled or frozen.

“Uruguay is the only country in the world that has full traceability of its livestock,” said John Maness, CEO. “This means that every animal is tracked, from birth to plate, to ensure the superior quality of this meat. We know which ranch raised the meat, which pastures it grazed on, and how it was raised.”

Charrua Imports is owned and operated by an American family whose children were raised in Uruguay.
