PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Respect Foods Inc. introduced a new line of frozen breakfast sandwiches. The company said the new sandwiches fill a growing market niche for clean label, better-for-you products.
The sandwiches contain fewer than 30 ingredients, according to the company. The new line is made with whole grains and contains no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.
"Customers are looking for brands to raise the bar," said Kenny Hartman, president of Respect Foods. "They want fewer and more readable ingredients. If apple, maple, egg, and cheese are in the product's name, shoppers want to find those same words in the ingredients. We respect their requests and deliver delicious sandwiches that have more than 15 grams of protein for a hot, energy-packed breakfast in less than three minutes."
The line includes: Apple Maple Chicken Sausage, Egg & Cheese; Turkey Bacon, Egg & Cheese; and Double Egg & Cheese. The sandwiches retail for $3.29 and come in single-serve packages.
