OTTAWA, Ontario – Marini Foods Ltd., Toronto, issued a voluntary recall of sausage products on concerns the items may be contaminated withSalmonella, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency reported.


CFIA said inspection activities triggered the recall. The agency is conducting a food safety investigation which could lead to the recall of additional products. There have been no reports of illness, and CFIA is verifying that product has been removed from the marketplace.

Affected products include REA brand Sweet Cacciatore Sausages and Bona brand Sweet Cacciatore Sausages - Lot 4237.233.
