NEW YORK — Empire Kosher poultry announced last week it is nationally launching lines of organic and antibiotic-free poultry, according to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency. Greg Rosenbaum, chief executive officer, said that as demand for A.B.F. and organic products grow in the non-kosher world, the company decided to enter these markets with kosher products.

Poultry that is not injected with any antibiotics or hormones is designated as A.B.F. Organic chicken adheres to A.B.F. standards and U.S. Department of Agriculture standards for organic poultry.

In other news, new equipment design will allow Empire to increase its peak production volume to nearly 800,000 chickens from 350,000 chickens a week, the company announced.
