ATLANTA – Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen announced Hector Munoz, vice president of marketing, was promoted to vice president and chief marketing officer – US.

Munoz will oversee all US marketing initiatives including digital strategy, advertising, calendar promotional planning, long-range marketing goals, brand positioning for product innovation and core menu items and all other marketing communications.


“Hector has proven to be instrumental in driving 17 consecutive quarters of positive same store sales at Popeyes,” said Dick Lynch, chief brand experience officer. “He has successfully demonstrated his leadership capabilities, executing our promotional calendar, increasing our social media presence and managing the team and multiple agencies that support these efforts. He was also the architect of the recently announced Popeyes Bahamas Bowl. We have great confidence in Hector’s ability to continue to help us achieve our marketing goals and are so pleased to announce his promotion.”

Munoz spent 11 years at Burger King and at Long John Silver's Inc. before joining Popeyes in 2011.
