CAMBRIDGE CITY, Ind. – A former Really Cool Foods processing facility undergoing a major renovation will be operational in July 2015, according to news reports.

Sugar Creek Packing Co., Washington Court House, Ohio, bought the former Really Cool Foods plant in Cambridge City, Ind., during a bankruptcy auction in Indianapolis. Sugar Creek was the lone bidder for the plant at $13 million. The project will require $100 million for construction, equipment and land acquisition, according to news reports. The company estimates the plant will create 400 jobs.


Sugar Creek Packing has five facilities in Ohio and Kansas, according to the company’s website. Sugar Creek specializes in an assortment of raw and fully-cooked products for domestic and international distribution.
