WASHINGTON – Las Vegas-based Mr. Wok Foods recalled approximately 14,760 lbs. of raw pork nugget products because of undeclared allergens and misbranding, the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) reported. The products contain wheat, a known allergen, which was not declared on the product labels.

FSIS inspection personnel discovered the problem during a food-safety assessment. An investigation revealed the flour used in the products contained wheat. The mislabeling occurred following a change in flour suppliers. There have been no reports of illness or adverse reactions, FSIS noted.

Products subject to recall include 10 lb. cases of “Battered, deep fried pork nugget” with packaging dates between JAN 25 2014 and JUN 25 2014.

The affected products bear “EST. 20783” inside the USDA mark of inspection on the labels. The raw pork nuggets were produced on various dates from Jan. 25, 2014 through June 25, 2014. All products were distributed to hotels, restaurants and institutions in Las Vegas, according to FSIS.
