OMAHA – Omaha Steaks is looking to buck Father's Day tradition by encouraging customers to give the gift of meat.

The company, a direct marketer of premium steaks and gourmet foods, recently launched a new Father's Day promotion called "T-Bones-Not Ties". Omaha Steaks is offering a Dad's Day Dinner package that includes two 24-oz. T-bone steaks, steakhouse fries, caramel apple tartlets and Omaha Steaks' signature seasoning blend. The dinner package is available now for $59.99.

"Gathering the family for a Father's Day cookout is an all-American tradition and a great way to tell Dad how much we love him by serving one of his favorite foods — a big, juicy steak," said Todd Simon, senior vice president and family owner of Omaha Steaks. "What's more, we know from a national survey that 70 percent of Dads would enjoy a steak as a gift, so a T-bone from Omaha Steaks would be the perfect home run gift for this Father's Day."

Additionally, Omaha Steaks is having a "Tie turn-in" event at all their retail stores. Customers can bring in an ugly tie and receive a coupon for a free six-pack of Omaha Steaks burgers with a minimum $30 purchase. T-Bones will be featured at a reduced price, and Omaha Steaks will donate $1 to Big Brothers Big Sisters for every tie.

Finally, for all those dads who plan to hit the links on Father's Day, Omaha Steaks is offering a free box of T-bone steaks to any dad hitting a hole-in-one on June 15.
