GARNER, NC – Butterball LLC named Jay Jandrain as executive vice president of sales and Bill Klump as chief marketing officer effective May 19. Jandrain and Klump succeed Kerry Doughty, who was recently named president and CEO of Butterball on May 5.

Jandrain will oversee sales in food service, retail and export channels, as well as product research and development, customer service and integrated business strategy, according to the company.

Jandrain joined Butterball in May 2002 as director of product R&D. During his tenure with company he has held roles of increasing responsibility including vice president of deli sales, vice president of product research and development, and vice president of integrated business strategy. Jandrain has held multiple sales, marketing and R&D management positions at other protein companies such as Cargill and Plantation Foods.

In his new role, Klump will be responsible for overall brand strategy, consumer communication and public relations. In addition, Klump will continue to drive brand advertising, consumer promotion, product innovation and consumer insights for consumer packaged goods, deli and seasonal products. Klump brings more than 30 years of experience in consumer packaged goods to the position.

He also joined Butterball in 2002 while working for ConAgra Foods. He transitioned to Butterball in 2006 when the brand was sold to Smithfield Foods Inc. and Maxwell Farms, forming Butterball, LLC. Klump is the current chairman of the board for the International Deli-Diary-Bakery Association. He was the senior vice president of corporate marketing before his promotion to CMO.
