MIAMI – Burger King has launched the latest salvo in the quick-service breakfast wars by offering its burgers in the morning day-part.

BurgerBusiness.com reported that Burger King is rolling out a "Burgers at Breakfast" menu at 5,000 restaurants. A wide selection of sandwiches will be available before 10 am, including the Whopper. Burger King, like many QSRs, is attempting to capture more of the breakfast market share, which has been dominated by McDonald's.

Taco Bell launched a national breakfast platform featuring the Waffle Taco. White Castle developed a trio of Belgian waffle sandwiches and Del Taco expanded its morning menu with the addition of value-priced tacos.
