PRINCE GEORGE, Va. – Perdue Foods announced plans to expand production capacity at its Mid-Atlantic Replenishment Center in Prince George.

Perdue will invest $3 million in additional equipment, and 190 new positions will be added to the current workforce bringing the number of employees at the facility to more than 500, the company reported. The Mid-Atlantic Replenishment Center receives packaged chicken products from Perdue processing plants in the region. The packages are then labeled for individual customers and then shipped. The expansion will support growth across the Perdue and Harvestland brands as well as customer-owned brands, the company noted.

“Growth driven by new customers and new products for the Harvestland and Perdue brands has increased volume at the Replenishment Center. These investments will enable us to meet this growing demand and maintain the high level of customer service and reliability that customers expect from Perdue,” said Lester Gray, senior vice president of Operations for Perdue Foods.
