MINONG, Wis. – Jack Link's announced plans to acquire Unilever's meat snack business. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the transaction does include a manufacturing facility in Ansbach, Germany.

The Unilever meat snacks are sold under the BiFi and Peperami brands. BiFi is sold in Germany, Benelux, Austria and Switzerland, while the Peperami brand is sold in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The transaction is expected to close by the end of March 2014.
