Corpus Christi, Texas-based Hausman Foods LLC, is recalling approximately 38,400 lbs. of beef and pork products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens, the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) reported. The affected products were made on various dates from Sept. 17 to Dec. 6. Products subject to the recall include 800-lb. combo corrugate boxes containing “Fully Cooked Barbacoa” and 15-lb. boxes containing six 2.5-lb vacuum sealed packages of “Pork Chorizo.”
FSIS said the items bear establishment number “EST. 7190” or “EST. 7190A” inside the USDA mark of inspection and were shipped to processing and foodservice establishments in Texas.
Hausman Foods is the fourth establishment affected by a recall for Adams Flavors, Food & Ingredients, Gonzales, Texas. FDA, which announced the recall, said one of the spice ingredients contained peanut protein that was not declared on the label.
To date, there have been no reports of illnesses associated with this recall.
