NEW YORK – An administrative law judge affirmed citations issued against MB Consultants Ltd., doing business as Murray's Chicken, the US Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) reported.

OSHA cited the plant in May 2012 for health and safety violations at the company's South Fallsburg chicken processing plant. Violations included failure to provide employees with information and training about the hazards of products that contain peracetic acid and bleach, and failure to train production workers on lockout/tagout procedures for working on machines that could unexpectedly start up.

MB Consultants contested the citations, but in a Sept. 19 ruling, Administrative Law Judge William Cohen upheld the citations and penalties of $67,000.
