SPRINGDALE, Ark. – Tyson Foods Inc. is encouraging consumers to make smarter food choices through a new program called “Just Add This”.

The program provides motivational tips to help consumers make small changes to their existing routines and form habits that lead to a healthful lifestyle. The program will run through March. Consumers can join the “Just Add This” program at Facebook.com/GrilledAndReady. Consumers will find daily recipes and good-for-you prizes along with motivational tips to help them reach their goals.

“Helping people reinforce changes they make in January to become long term habits is our goal; so we decided to run this program for three months instead of one month, as we’ve done in previous years,” said Dan Uskert, product manager for Tyson Foods. “We all have busy schedules that can make it difficult to eat well. By incorporating better food choices, such as 97 percent fat-free Grilled & Ready chicken, people can make effortless, healthy meals at home, even when pressed for time.”

Tyson Foods also is running a contest in which consumers are invited to submit a recipe that they improved by adding the company's Grilled & Ready chicken — or by modifying an existing recipe that is made with Grilled & Ready chicken and adding a healthy ingredient. Submissions will be accepted through the program’s Facebook page between Feb. 17 and March 17, 2014. One winner will receive an all-expense-paid weekend to a Taste of Home Cooking School where they will be given the opportunity to demonstrate their recipes to other cooks.
