CHICAGO – Gusto Packing of Montgomery, Ill., a subsidiary of Butterball LLC, is recalling 67,110 lbs. of sliced-ham products due to possible Listeria contamination, according to the US Department of Agriculture. The hams were distributed in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio plus exported to Canada.

Products included in the recall are Centrella Signature Hardwood Hickory Smoked, Spiral Sliced Ham with Natural Juices" with the case code 71292603304; Amish Valley Fully Cooked, Hickory Smoked Spiral Sliced Ham with the case code 71292645104; "Amish Valley Fully Cooked, Hickory Smoked Spiral Sliced Ham" with the case code 71292645104; and Ripple Creek Farms Fully Cooked, Ready To Eat, Hickory Smoked, Spiral Sliced Ham with the case code 71292603312.


Butterball acquired the company in January, 2012, in a deal that included Gusto’s 260,000 sq.-ft. processing plant and its 500 employees.
