CHICAGO – Al's Italian Beef in collaboration with Mike Ditka, famed NFL coach, player and TV commentator, is rolling out its Spicy, Jumbo Ditka Dog in honor of National Hot Dog Month (July) and for a limited time only. "The Spicy, Jumbo Ditka Dog is a taste to experience, and you better be prepared to tackle it with an appetite," said Mike Ditka. "This is the best sausage I've ever had, which is exactly why I put my name on it."

Chicago-based Al's Italian Beef operates 16 franchise restaurant locations throughout Illinois, California and Nevada. Chicago-based Vienna Beef produces and markets Vienna Beef Hot Dogs and Sausages, Vienna Beef Deli Meats and more.

"National Hot Dog month is the perfect time to introduce our newest menu item and celebrate our recent partnership with Mike Ditka," said Dave Howey, president of Chicago Franchise Systems, Inc. "The Ditka Dog is big, bold and spicy and a perfect representation of Al's Italian Beef and Mike Ditka."
