GARNER, NC – Butterball LLC is testing the market for antibiotic-free with its new Farm to Family offering of no-antibiotics-ever turkey products. The company expects to generate $100 million in sales over the next three to four years from Farm to Family products, which eventually will represent as much as 10 percent of the company’s products within the next 12 months.
Farm to Family ground turkey and turkey patties are American Humane Certified and sourced from turkeys raised on a vegetarian-based diet of whole grains containing no animal byproducts or hormones.
“We listened to our customers,” Ivan Arrington, director of Insights and Innovation for Butterball, said in a statement. “They like options and Farm to Family is another way we can reach their table. Raising turkeys responsibly is not just who we are, it’s what we do. We believe nutritious and all-natural turkey products should not compromise taste or price.”
