DANBURY, Conn. – The Praxair ColdFront Cryo-Saver Tunnel Freezer will help processors freeze their products more economically in the same footprint as a traditional cryogenic tunnel system, the company announced Jan. 27. Praxair Inc. is featuring its latest tunnel-freezer system at the 2014 International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) in Atlanta from Jan. 28-30.

The Cryo-Saver Tunnel Freezer’s entrance and exit are designed to decrease the infiltration of room air into the freezer. The design innovation can save processors 15 percent on operating costs depending upon the production parameters, according to the company. Additionally, Praxair designed the freezer enclosure to meet new US Department of Agriculture sanitation standards allowing for quick and thorough clean-up.

Praxair is a Fortune 250 company with 2012 sales of $11 billion, according to the company. It is the largest industrial gases company in North and South America and one of the largest worldwide. The company produces, sells and distributes atmospheric, process and specialty gases and high-performance surface coatings.
