SHEBOYGAN FALLS, Wis. – Consumers will have a voice-activated cooking companion in time for the summer cook-out season, courtesy of Johnsonville Sausage LLC.
Johnsonville, in partnership with Publications International Ltd. (PIL), has released “Johnsonville Kitchens”, a new mobile application for the iPhone and iPad. The app contains hundreds of recipes for the stovetop and grill that incorporate Johnsonville products, the company said.
Using PIL’s iCookbook voice command technology, users can advance cooking instructions without touching a screen. The app also features step-by-step instructional videos and high-resolution images. Users also have the capability to look up conversions, create shopping lists and share recipes via Facebook or email. Johnsonville plans to add free recipes and videos to the catalogue on a quarterly basis, the company said.
